Venus Optics Laowa Probe Zoom 15-35mm T12 Lens (Periscope, PL) Laowa Probe Zoom 15-35 mm T12 Macro Lens (Periscope) – PL Mount brings eye-level drama to worlds barely larger than a postage stamp. The downward-facing periscope slips between foliage, food or circuitry while the camera body stays clear, thanks to its 53.8 cm waterproof barrel that resists dust, oil and brief immersion. Glide the tip through rain-soaked sets or aquariums and record perspectives no conventional optic can reach. Inside, 37 elements in 26 groups keep edge-to-edge sharpness across the full-frame 15–35 mm range. The design is parfocal, so focus stays locked while you zoom. A T12–T40 nine-blade iris draws circular highlights, and Ø43.2 mm image-circle coverage suits large-format sensors. With a 110.5°-63.4° field of view, 2.3 × zoom ratio and 5 mm working distance (0.2 in), you can sweep from environmental ultra-wide to 2.3× macro without dolly moves. Cine ergonomics match high-end motion-control rigs: 0.8 MOD gears on focus, iris and zoom; 90° focus throw, 100° zoom throw, laser-engraved dual scales and a slim 32 mm front diameter for lightweight motors. The periscope barrel spins 360° to keep horizons level while sliding under obstacles, and the lens balances comfortably at 1.4 kg on drones, sliders or robotic arms. Default ARRI PL mount accepts optional E, EF, RF, Z or L bayonets, making the lens a drop-in for multi-camera workflows from 4 K broadcast to 8 K virtual production.
