Venus Optics Laowa Probe Zoom 15-35mm T12 Lens (90° Direct View, PL) Laowa Probe Zoom 15-35 mm T12 90° PL brings an ultra-wide 110.5° field of view and 2.3× parfocal zoom to full-frame macro cinematography. The sideways-looking 90° front barrel slips between objects, viewing the scene parallel to the camera body while the 360° rotating housing lets you frame from floor-level, overhead or inside confined sets without relocating the rig. Covering a Ø43.2 mm image circle, the lens maintains edge-to-edge acuity along a 37-element/26-group optical path. Focal length 15-35 mm, aperture T12-T40, and a 9-blade iris enable seamless exposure pulls and circular bokeh, while the parfocal design holds focus during zooms. At 15 mm you capture sweeping context; at 35 mm the angle tightens to 63.4° yet still offers a 5 mm working distance and up to 2.3× magnification for dramatic close-ups. The 545.6 mm waterproof stainless-steel probe glides through liquids, dust and food with confidence. A slim 32 mm front diameter passes standard splash-bags, motion-control sliders and specialty borescope rigs; focus and zoom rings use industry 0.8 MOD gears for wireless follow-focus systems. Internal matte flocking suppresses flare when the optional LED ring illuminates tunnel shots. Weighing just 1.4 kg, the Probe Zoom balances on gimbals and robotic arms. For tabletop commercials, wildlife burrow work or inventive establishing shots it unlocks viewpoints unreachable with orthodox optics, making it a precision tool for broadcast, streaming and narrative crews operating PL-mount bodies such as ARRI ALEXA Mini, RED V-Raptor and Sony VENICE.
